Do you have to pay for universal studios, before you go to city walk.
Hi, I was just there last week. You don't need to have a ticket for Universal Studio to go to city walk, but the parking costs $15-$20 depending on where you want to park. City walk is open till 2am.
Citywalk is free. Parking is charged during the day, but I believe they stop charging at 6 or 7 pm
As noted above, you need only pay for parking to enter City Walk. According to
www.universalorlando.com/Resort_Information/parking_information.aspx?intsrch=parking
Parking is $3 after 6 pm, $15 before then. Show up at 6:05 pm and your parking will be a minor part of your expenses that night.
Citywalk is free, and you may even be able to take a shuttle from the hotel you are staying at if they offer it. Many of them do. If not, just show up after 6pm and parking is either free or less than $5 so it's not a big deal.

Plan your trip to Orlando around the things you really want too see and that will depend on whether there are children in your party and their ages. Some 'musts' for all ages that I recommend are:
Fantasmic Show at MGM Studios. Get there early, at least 90 minutes. You will be entertained while you wait for a fabulous show.
Fireworks at Epcot: Brings a lump to your throat.
Night Time Parade at Magic Kingdon. Magical!
Seaworld: You can have a lovely relaxing day here just ambling from one show to the next. It's a great atmosphere. Don't miss the Clyde & Seamore show or of course Shamu.
If you have older children or none then please don't miss The Adveturers Club at Pleasure Island. It's hard to explain and really needs to be experienced but the characters in here will have you mesmerised or hysterical with laughter. The whole happy atmosphere. The smell in the air. The sun. The lovely friendly people, not just in Disney, but everywhere.
Here are some of the best spots to watch the parades and fireworks:
Share a Dream Come True Parade-starts in Frontierland and the start is less crowded, you'll finish watching first
SpectroMagic night parade-starts near the entrance, good location for being the first to leave or first to finish watching, less crowded
Wishes Fireworks-if you want to see TinkerBell fly, position yourself near the statue of Walt Disney near Cinderella's Castle (on the side of the castle closest to the entrance)
Lockers are available to rent at every Disney Theme Park. The locker rentals ar $5 for a small and $7 for a large. We saw many people using the lockers and they fill up fast. We utilized the locker rentals only when we visited Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard beach. We had to put our wallet and park passes somewhere dry.
ANY LUGGAGE WILL DO HERE. WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES BECAUSE YOU WILL WALK, AND WALK AND WALK........... DO NOT BUY NEW SHOES TO WEAR TO THE PARKS BECAUSE YOU WILL REGRET IT. ALSO BRING RAINGEAR THE REMAIN OPEN AT ALL TIMES. SO BE PREPARED WITH A RAINCOAT OR BUY ONE OF WONDERFUL PONCHOS YOU WILL MAGICALLY SEE APPEAR AT ALL STORES WHEN IT STARTS TO RAIN. BRING LOTS OF FILM AND A CAMCORDER ALONG. THERE ARE SO MANY WONDERFUL PLACES TO TAKE PICTURES.
