A fleeting moment of magic
I never even thought of going to Orlando before and amusements parks don't attract me.
This year, I was already in Florida, VT Friends were meeting in Orlando, so I joined them. The VT dinner in Orlando proper was a lot of fun.
Next day: Overall, Magic Kingdom was an amazing fantasy. Everything makes you exclaim, at first sight. I loved walking in the Robinson Tree House with my friends. We were just there for the fun of it and played along. The Christmas Parade was a smashing success, I'm sorry I took all the pics of allegorical carts and pink hippos too late. Everything was much better, bigger, and funnier in real.
I enjoyed walking around with my friends. Still, that sort of excited amazement doesn't last for me.
We were adults so everything went smoothly. But the crowds were huge and I couldn't help but think what a lot of energy and money was poured into 'making' kids amazed. It's all too organised, like every other huge amusement park I guess.
My brother, sister and I had much more fun at the Provincial Exhibition in our days. And we could go alone! At Disneyworld, I think this would be unthinkable. And for me, being guided to my amazement by my parents just wouldn't cut it.
Anyway, I quickly fell off the sidewalk and felt feverish after that. So I walked around in a daze until I could take no more and spent a quiet evening in the hotel room. No regrets at all.
The life-size toy soldiers almost scared me for real. They were like cranked-up robots which nothing could stop!
I really enjoyed going to...
I really enjoyed going to Medieval Times Dinner show. The show was great, and the food was hearty. My fondest memory of Orland was seeing the fireworks from Disney from my hotel balcony. We weren't at the resort and could see it so clearly.
I spent my entire time in...
I spent my entire time in Oralando at Walt Disney World. I didn't have a car so I didn't see much else. There are many, many, things to see and do in the Orlando area but my page is going to focus on WDW because that's what I know about. I think my fondest memories are spending my day's off playing with my friends at Disney World. We got in free so we went all the time. There's so much to see and do in the four parks and other Disney attractions.

Talk radio is usually hideous. But if you have the choice of suffering the wagging tongues of right-wing nitwit Republican pundits or Monster (truck) comedians, the latter are certainly more entertaining for your busy ears. Between the Monsters in the Morning 6AM-11AM(Russ Rollins, Tiffany, Tom Vann, Daniel Dennis, Dirty Jim), Jim Philips (and Moira!)from 3-7PM ..they added the Buckethead 11/3PM show in the afternoon and SPK(Kevin) has his own show at night.(7-11PM)
This depends on how long you're staying and how much you want to take. Shorts and tee-shirts are a must during the warmer times of the year. During the spring and summer, a bathing suit is a must. Other times of the wear require one to pack for both cool and warm weather. Sun screen is a must during the warmer months. Take a camera and ample film. Though film and batteries are widely available in shops. Depends on where you go.
