VIP Escorted Disney Tours
by Dean2006
If you really want to get the most out of your Disney vacation, you can use a personal guide for your trip. Disney provides this VIP service (for a fee) where you basically have a personal guide to all the attractions. They know how to use the fast pass system, which rides to do first, make reservations at restaurants, arrange transportation, etc. You can basically see much more in a shorter time frame with less time worrying about the mechanics of the trip. I used Michael's VIP serivice as they can provide a tour guide for Universal Studios and other non Disney attractions as well. I really recommend this service! It's worth the extra cost.
I think arrangements for the VIP tour is made through the Disney Special Activities Office. Michaels' VIP tours web site is shown here:

CityWalk is one of the best entertainment options. Built to compete with Downtown Disney in the 'nightlife arena.
Disney seems to be for families while Universal caters to everybody else. The attractions in CityWalk are billed by Universal as 'entertainment definitely more for adults. Universal Studios substituted Mickey Mouse with Bob Marley and Jimmy Buffet. LOL
CityWalk itself doesn't have an entrance fee, but the individual clubs have a cover. If you're only going to stay for one drink, go to CityWalk.

Disney's Extra Magic Hour
by cjg1
If you are a guest staying at one of the Disney owned resorts you are eligible to benefit from the Extra Magic Hours for the theme parks. On certain days on of the theme parks has extra magic hours. This means that if a park is scheduled to open at 9am, you can start your day at the park at 8am. If there is evening extra magic hours you will have to see a cast member to obtain a wristband to identify you as a Disney resort guest in order to stay for the later hours.
Packing List
by cosycarol
Take a large suitcase as you will want to return with lots of designer goods (factory shop outlets galore!) e.g. cheap Nike trainers, jeans etc. If in height of summer then very cool cotton wear needed and you will need comfy shoes for lots of walking, preferably open sandals. Don't forget a sun HAT! Sun tan lotion High protection factor. Take some revolutionery dry anti-bacterial hand wash liquid (in tiny clear plastic bottle) so you can picnic on beaches without walking miles to toilet basin to wash your hands!
