Family run business I believe. You can get a penthouse suite facing the beach (on the beach) for $135. Or just a regular room on the beach for around $70.

This hotel is taller than the one we are staying at and has this big red neon sign at the top. So I use it as a landmark. We have not stayed here.
It is an older hotel and is right on the beach.

We are staying in an RCI Condo unit this week - right on the beach. I've seen weeks advertised for a unit at this complex that range from $774 for a week for a one bedroom unit that will sleep 4 to $1300 for the week for a 2 bedroom 2 bath unit that sleeps 6 during March.
This week, the resort has rooms for rent, but I don't know what they charge for them. Bike week is the big season here, so it would be unlikely that there would be any extra rooms then..
They have not quite recovered from the hurricanes - only one elevator is working for instance.
There is an IHOP across the street, and other restaurants are nearby. Also there are at least 2 pizza places that deliver.
There are 2 pools - oceanside and patio. The patio pool is heated. The high rise has an elevator and is 6 stories. There are laundry facilities - $1.50 for the washer and $1.50 for the dryer. All local calls are 25 cents. There are two TVs - one in the bedroom and one in the living room. There isn't much storage space for clothing - a tiny closet and one chest in the bedroom, and a broom closet in the hall. There is a full kitchen which is quite compact. It seems like the units are pretty well soundproofed.
I suspect that if all the units are full, there isn't enough parking for everyone. Leave a Comment
