  • We were here right after The Donald's wedding, thank goodness, as the hotel had been full of all of his guests before we arrived. It is "the" place to stay in Palm Beach, though there are other very nice hotels in the area. This one is gorgeous though... The rooms are lavishly appointed; there are excellent bathrooms; the staff is perfectly attentive. The views on the ocean front rooms are beautiful. They have great in-house toiletries as well, if you're into that sort of thing.

    DO NOT MISS Sunday Brunch in the Circle Restaurant. The food is lavish and delicious, and the atmosphere is beautiful. Drinks weren't bad either!

    Also, pop in for a drink at the Seafood Bar; it overlooks the water, and the bar is an aquarium full of pretty little tropical fish.

  • You can find accommodation in Palm Beach county starting from around $20 / night. There are hundreds of motels around the Federal Highway. You can find these for example in the Lake Worth and Lantana area. If money is no object the Breakers hotel is the obvious choice. The Breakers is a legendary hotel that was founded by Henry Flagler himself. The Breakers hotel is closely associated with the history of Palm Beach in the same way as for example the Raffles hotel in Singapore is associated with the history of Singapore. The Breakers used to be the gathering place for the social elite of Palm Beach. This is still the case today too. This is the place for a 'Pretty Woman' to try to find her Palm Beach millionaire. The high season for the different charity events at the Breakers runs through autumn until Christmas. The Breakers has specials starting from $199 / night.

  • Well....this is a 5-star hotel so my expectations were high. For the most part it did live up to the standard. The grounds were impeccable, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the scenery was awesome!

    I was visiting during the low season (late September) so many of the restaurants, etc. were still closed. Those that were open were excessively priced...even for a 5-star resort!

    While the rooms were very nice (i.e. plush, clean, etc.), the bed coverings did not satisfy my tastes. for a $300+ / night room there should have been very new, plush sheets, comforters, etc. Instead it was more like sleeping on a bed you would find in a 10-year old Holiday Inn.

    Otherwise, I would highly recommend a stay.

    I've never been SO close to the ocean! The views of the ocean and the resort grounds in general, were spectactular! Also the decor inside was truly awe inspiring - especially the ceiling decorations.

    I went to a business meeting at The Breakers a few years ago and absolutely loved it there. It's kinda sad when you don't want to leave a business trip to go home but it's just how I felt staying there. This is a beautiful hotel where you're treated like a celebrity and hey, a girl can get used to that!

    Walk through the doors and you've left Florida and entered a European palace!
