"Flowers of Interest"
Panama City is currently renovating its downtown. Due to lack of parking many downtown businesses moved to the mall and other shopping centers. The downtown area is getting a face lift and several antique shops and restaurants have moved in. But what I like are the older homes and gardens abundant in the cove section of town. Here are some pictures of some pretty flowers from the cove.
"Dutchman's pipe"
This vine is awesome when full of blooms and usually will come back if winter is not too hard on it.
"Northeast of Panama City"
North of Panama City towards Tallahassee is a small creek and along this creek I was lucky enough to find a rare pitcher plant in bloom.There are several varieties but this white topped species is becoming harder to find due to loss of habitat. This is the first one I have ever seen in bloom.
