Alright, all you locals!
My husband and i, and our children will be visiting on 4th of July week. We will be staying at Long Beach Resort. I am interested in knowing what you think about Long Beach, and I would love to hear about some of the local "flavor"-what you think is the best of PCB...We love broiled seafood, and lots of it...so where to go. And can you carry a drink out on the beach? Let us know what to look for, and what to expect. We cant wait to come visit.

Well, I'm not a local, so I hope you don't mind me posting a reply here. I just wanted to give you my thoughts on the Long Beach. We've stayed there 3 times, and will be going back for the 4th time next month. We really love it there. We've had wonderful experiences each time we've been there and are excited to go back. In my opinion, and after doing a lot of looking around at other resorts, Long Beach has the best floor plan on the beach. You can't beat all the rooms having an oceanfront view. The lagoon pool there is awesome!! It's also in a great location...right across the street from Wal-Mart (which came in very handy for us), and a very short walk away from Pineapple Willy's.
Have a great trip...I know that you wil LOVE the Long Beach!

bring what you need
"Top of the Gulf"
got what we paid for, looking for a cheap room, got it. went to office in building, paid a more, got a better, updated condo. Barbara in that office was very helpful. She explained that soaps, trash bags, and TP were an initial set up. How was she to know that I might have skin allergies to that soap, and they do buy TP in bulk, so it is not as soft. I understand it now, we will always bring our favorites, or buy them from the store.
