More about Majestic Beach Resort

Wonderful place to stay.....

by TripAdvisor Member ashleyinalabama

My finace and I stayed here for 4 nights. I loved the fact that it was the off season and we got a great deal for the room. The bar across the street, "Salty's" was nice, as well. The hotel had everything we needed, hotubs, pools, theater, gym, etc. The only downfall we had was that a church group came on the second night with like 50 kids and they would be jumping in and out of the hotub and pools and messing with the elevators all the time, not to mention the prank calls. The hotel stated they could not do anything about this, however, I do wish there was some kind of no-kid policy. I did not want to spend my vacation with children, nor did my fiance. Overall, though, I found that tis hotel was very pleasurable and I would definatly stay there again!

Managed to have a nice break amidst Spring Break 08

by TripAdvisor Member LawGirlATL

My husband and I booked a weekend (3/14/-3/17) at the Majestic Beach Resort directly through condo owners Herb and Teresa (Tower I - 2309). We were a little worried when we realized that we would be sharing our weekend with thousands of college Spring Breakers. The kids were there and having a good, loud time. Nevertheless, we had a wonderful weekend. The room was beautifully decorated and had a fully equipped kitchen. All the rooms are directly overlooking the gulf. The view from our penthouse studio was amazing and the balcony had a lounge chair and a set of table and chairs so you could eat breakfast outside or just sit and enjoy the sunset.

The pools were very nice looking but we were disappointed to find out that they were not heated. . . a must for spring, fall, and winter. We never had a problem getting lounge chairs around the pool and loved the direct beach access.

This property is only for the self-sufficient traveler. Do not go to the Majestic expecting any type of service. While we were there, we only saw one person at the front desk, if at all. When we arrived, we were looking for luggage carts and a security guard told us to take the elevator to various floors to look around for one. The poolside service from H2O Bar and Grill was never operating . . . apparently they were low on staff (during Spring Break of all times!). This didn't bother us too much as we were prepared and went to Walmart for groceries and carried our cooler down to the pool.

Finally, the fitness center is AWESOME. Nice, new machines with personal television sets. The sauna and steamrooms were wonderful. Very worth the extra fee (since we rented through the owners).

Still getting charges on debit card

by TripAdvisor Member ppargoff

We stayed on the 20th floor, room was clean (except for stains on bedspread) and we had a great time. But....as soon as we got home and checked out debit card they had charged an additional $25 to our card and have tried to add more. By this I mean until today 04/03/08.

Believe me we left the condo very clean, ran dishwasher, took out trash, all linens were in one spot, these are NOT charges we expected.

Please be careful when staying here.

needs some work

by TripAdvisor Member asummer

When we first arrived we thought the hotel was awesome but as we settled in it was not awesome. They only have 2 sets of elevators. One set was on the east side and one set was on the west side with 23 floors. The main issue was one elveator was broken on each side so you had wait several i mean several minutes for an elevator. We were on the 17th floor. The room was clean however we only had 2 towels in the room. When we called housekeeping and front desk no one answered. We had to callback and housekeeping was closed so we had to go downstairs ourselves to get towels from the frontdesk. We left a message for housekeeping to send towels up in the morning they called the next day after 12pm to bring us towels. We did not have any handsoap or dish soap. Again we had to call housekeeping. In the main bedroom, we had 2 sinks and both of them stayed clogged up. We had 9 people in the room and after 2 people took a shower the water got cold. The location of the hotel is great, right on the beach.

Majestic Beach has great amenities!

by TripAdvisor Member llc001

I booked this reservation through an owner on VRBO. I really enjoyed my stay at Majestic Beach because of all the extra amenities it has to offer. They have a coffee shop and movie theater in the resort. There is also a place you can rent movies. This resort is located on the East end of PCB, which is where most of the restaurants and attractions are. I took my family with young children. The pools at Majestic are great b/c they have a kiddie pool area with a water attraction.

Disappointed in the Majestic

by TripAdvisor Member lori-215

We just returned home from our first stay at the Majestic. This was also our last stay. We were disappointed in the condition of the condo. It was not cleaned well, the remote for the tv was missing the back and did not work, no instructions as to check out proceedures and maintenance issues. The parking is too far away. The Majestic was also hosting the prom during our stay so parking became an issue. The parking deck is 4 levels (level 3 is for owners only) and all of the prom kids took most of the parking. When I inquired at the front desk about the parking the girl told me "that's just the way it is". The prom was scheduled until midinight, after that I could find a parking space. In my opinion once they get your money you are on your own.

Majestic Not Too Shabby!

by TripAdvisor Member Tomaloma

We booked through vrbo and got a really great rate on a 3/2 condo. The timing was perfect because it was the weekend before Memorial so it was not crowded at all. We had a couple rainy days but that didn't phase the kids. Checkin and checkout was a breeze. We had no issues with parking or loading/unloading BUT I can see where people could have issues with everything if it was busy. There were only two people working the front desk. We stayed in the opposite tower (Tower II I think) of where you check in and there was only car space for maybe 6 cars so it could become a bottleneck and nightmare. Tower I has the indoor pool which came in handy during the rain. The water in the pool itself is not heated but since it's enclosed, heat comes up through the floor vents so that's how it's heated. None of the outdoor pools were heated so it was too cold for anyone's liking. All of the pools are also on the side so it stays shady the majority of the day. Food was fine at the bar and grill located at Tower I. You could get a hamburger and fries for 8 bucks but it cost 8.25 for one daiquiri - I thought that was a bit ridiculous. There was also only one person working the bar, plus she was handling all the food orders so that became quite congested. Access to the beach was easy. The fitness center was really nice. We didn't have time to check out the movie theater. The market had your essentials but it was overpriced of course. The walkover is on level 3 so we found it easier to park on ground level and just cross the street versus taking elevators from/to the parking garage. Our condo was on the 8th floor but I would suggest to anyone else to stay on the higher levels. We were just nervous to do that with a 3 and 4 yr old. We were able to hear road noise and music from the bar across the street. Staying in Tower I would be even noisier. The living room was smaller than my liking and in my opinion the master bedroom could be smaller in order to accomodate the other rooms to be a bit bigger. The ice machine/wet bar was nice to have but the kitchen was lacking some essentials. The balcony was ok, but also a little small, not too much room to manuever around when 4 adults and 2 children were out there all at once. The pool at Tower II was too cold also, mostly a shady issue and it not being heated at all but a nice size. Lots of chairs around all the pools. Overall we had a nice time for the great rate we got but since there are so many other places to choose from in PCB, we'll likely stay somewhere different next time but as far as all the amenities go, this one does have it all.

Decent Place

by TripAdvisor Member kelway

It was clean and nice enough. Caution to parents of young ones: At least on our unit, our 2 year old could easily open the front door and glass door to the 14th floor patio. There were no toddler-proof locks. Other than that, and the perhaps less-than-ideal bedding situation, the amenities were fine and we had a great time.

Don't Rent Through Coldwell Bank

by TripAdvisor Member mharring08

We were definetely in the center of the action, it was spring break. I would advise all to stay away during spring break times, there were a lot of security problems. We enjoyed the property, the pools were nice. Whatever you do though, do not rent through Coldwell Banker who manage some of the rooms. They made us wait to get into the room until it was checked by housekeeping and when we got in the room it was filthy. There was urine drips down the side of the toilet, the floors hadn't been mopped, nothing had been dusted... in maybe 6 months, and the white towels were a beige color. THIS DOES NOT REFLECT THE HOTEL ITSELF, we went through a SEPERATE company. This is just a warning to not go through Coldwell Banker for this property. The view though from all the rooms is great!

Don't Pay Cash

by TripAdvisor Member spitt80

I reserved my room about 1 month in advance and paid for the 1st night room and tax. I put that amount on my debit card, the rest was due at check in. On the day I checked in I paid the balance with cash. Everything went smooth, little did I know I was given a fake receipt with a $0 balance. I checked out 2 days later also with a $0 balance. 2 days later I was also charged again for that remaining balace on my debit card. I called the resort and was given accounting's number. When I contacted them that had no record of the cash transaction and would not refund the money even though I had a majestic receipt. I was ripped off for hundred's of dollars.
