Enjoyed soothing, relaxing, unpretentious stay at Our House

We needed a stress-free getaway for our first time B&B and got all we wanted at Our House. In a quiet setting a short walk away from busy Old St. Augustine we were comforted by our attentive but unobtrusive host, Dave Brezing, and his great breakfasts (pancakes are a treat!); king size bed we didn't want to get out of; stepping out on our own 2nd fl porch with morning coffee served promptly at 8am; wonderful piano music played below by our talented host; and last but not least, the clawfoot tub in our Greenhaven room for a late night bubble bath. Compared to other B&B's we can only assume what Our House might lack in pretentious amenities Dave makes up for in his attention to details, our comfort, and creating a place that feels like home as soon as you step inside. Thanks again Dave for a memorable experience.

Our compliment to Dave for providing us with such warm hospitality and a beautiful place to visit. Food was outstanding, accomodation was terrific and Dave's talented piano playing was such a treat. Highly recommend.
Perfect Place for a Honeymoon!

Our House was the perfect destination for our recent honeymoon. From the cozy beds and robes to the gourmet breakfasts and excellent service, it was everything we could have asked for in a romantic, relaxing Bed and Breakfast. Just a short walk from downtown St. Augustine. Ask Dave for advice on things to see, places to eat...all of his suggestions were just what we were looking for. Our compliments to him for creating such an amazing experience, and at such a great value.
A fab Floridian retreat

We spent a couple of nights at 'Our House' in July 2004 and cannot reccommend it more highly.
We felt right at home from our arrival - the room (Fern Garden) was luxurious, the bed incredibly comfortable, the mini-fridge a lifesaver if like us you like a glass of cool Rosé at the beginning of the evening, and the Jacuzzi tub a bonus. But the real advantage here was the feeling of personal space - the garden porch was great for sitting out and taking in a big Floridian thunderstorm, and Dave Brezing repeatedly encouraged us to use the beautifully appointed lounge as our own - and we did.
The breakfasts were fantastic - the best I've ever encountered at a B+B - the morning coffee great.
Dave was a perfect host, great recommendations for restaurants, friendly but not obtrusive, we felt much more comfortable than in a big, anonymous hotel.
The interiors are just what Dave promises - not a doily in sight, he has managed to create an understated, chic victorian house which is heads above the too fussy, too chintzy alternatives in St Augustine.
Though we were there for only two nights in St Augustine, the experience seems much fuller thanks to our stay at 'Our House', if we are in that neck of the woods again in future I've no doubt we'll stay here again.

While the B&B itself is absolutely charming, the real attraction is the innkeeper. David set a new standard of excellence which all subsequent B&B's will now be measured against. His eye for detail, his playing the piano while we took an afternoon rest, his wonderful and artful breakfasts and his warm and intelligent conversational skills will not soon be forgotten. The livingroom is inviting and elegant and the rooms...... THERE IS LITTLE WE COULD ADD TO THIS ENDORSEMENT.

Peaceful, beautifully appointed, the ultimate in privacy and service. The rooms were spacious, well equipped and luxurioius. From coffee at your door to gourmet breakfasts, to wonderful conversation, it was a perfect few days. I would recommend this B&B to anyone. David set a standard that was not met on the rest of our trip. Thanks.

My wife and I absolutely loved our stay at Our House. Dave is a wonderful innkeeper and an excellent chef (his breakfasts were fantastic)! Every morning Dave leaves hot coffee or tea outside your room and then plays beautiful music on his piano to let you know that breakfast is ready. The decor of the house is lovingly maintained and the bed in Fern Garden is one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in away from home. He is very knowledgeable about the St. Augustine area and is more than happy to offer reccommendations for restaurants, tours, etc. After scouring the Net for bed and breakfasts in the St. Augustine area, we ultimately decided on Our House based on the reviews found here on Trip Advisor. The positive reviews we read were all very accurtate! Dave is a thoughtful, caring host and we look forward to staying at Our House again!

I am not sure where to start. My wife and I stayed at Our House B&B when we felt like we needed a short getaway. I picked Our House because of the great reviews Dave received on Trip Advisor and was not disappointed! His attention to detail was unbelievable, rooms were beautiful, beds very comfortable and gourmet breakfast was second to none. He also was a great person to get to know and very helpful with our daily activities. We could not have a better stay and will definitely be back for another visit.

As a former B&B owner/host, I must commend Dave on creating an atmosphere for his guests that no one could find fault with....He's a gracious host, talented cook and offers consistantly accurate advice on things to do and places to go in St. Augustine. I'll be back for sure...most comfortable beds, great environment, and the off street parking was a bonus in such a space squeezed city!
