More about St. George Inn
Great Location

We stayed at the St George based on recommendations from this site and loved it! The location is perfect- we loved being able to walk to everything. We had one of the suites in the new building- which was very quaint and beautifully decorated. Our kids loved the spiral staircase up to the bedroom. It was directly across from the Fort- the view was great. The only complaint we had was the noise from the bar/restaurant (Grist Mill?) below. It did get a little rowdy at night.
Are planning another visit to St Augustine in April and will stay there again- but will try a different building.
the best, loved it.

The St. George Inn is located right on St. George St. Right in the middle of the historical area and shopping. The staff goes overboard to make their guests welcome and comfortable. The rooms are beautifully furnished and immaculate. Breakfast includes a variety of breads, muffins, coissants and beverages. Coffee is always available. Your balcony may overlook the courtyard and fort. It's the perfect retreat at the end of a wonderful day in St. Augustine. We thoroughly enjoyed our three days and look forward to going back.
Incredible experience. Better than we hoped for...

The St. George Inn is fantastic! We stayed in one of the Santa Maria rooms while on vacation. The staff was friendly and helpful, assisting us with a late check-in and walking us to our room. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The best parts were the location and view from our balcony. We could walk everywhere as the Inn is right in the main historical area off St. George Street. And the views from our balcony of the Castillo and the City Gate...just incredible. The courtyard area is beautiful, too. A great place to sit for the complimantary continental breakfast.
We highly recommend the St. George Inn!
Great Location, Great Value, Very Accomodating

Had an enjoyable one night stay at the St George Inn on Feb. 20, 2006. We chose the Santa Maria room type (there are a number of rooms of this type). The room was very pleasant and clean. The view from the balcony was great. It was very convenient to the historical district. The owners were very accomodating for a late check-out. We would definately stay here again.
Wonderful Location & Much More!

Our stay at the St. George Inn was wonderful! Inn Keepers and staff were friendly & helpful - they accomodated our early check in and suggested many great restaurants. This Inn, while not your typical B&B, was everything we hoped it would be. Our room (the Nina) was spacious, VERY CLEAN, we had a wonderful view and nice rocking chairs! The Inn is centrally located and with in walking distance to practically everything. We plan on staying at the St. George Inn again very soon.

What a wonderful place to stay. My husband and I celebrated our 10th anniversary there a couple of weekends ago. We had a Castillo Suite that had a wrap around porch with views in the frontof the Old Fort and another porch in theback that looked over St. George Steet for people watching. We sat on our porch in wonderful teak rocking chairs and watched the sun come up over the fort one morning. The suite was beautifuly decorated and spotless with a huge bedroom, wet bar, dining area, they even provided terry bathrobes. We loved it and we will return as soon as we can get away again.
Great Inn, good staff, location and room

Stayed one night in the Nina, what a lovely place, the staff were delighful, treated our kids to some of their own ghost-stories (one resides not too far!!) and when my wife left her purse behind, they were kind enough to make contact with us asap and arrange for its speedy repatriation. We underline all the good points mentioned in other posts, we'd definately stay again.
Room with a View

This was our first visit to St. Augustine, and in addition to finding a great city to explore, we are so happy we booked a room at the St. George Inn for our 4-day stay. Before arriving, it was hard to visualize the city layout, but the inn location is at the north end of St George St.-literally right next door to the famous city gates, across the street from the old fort, and just a short stroll from everything in the historic district, restaurants and shopping...one does not have to drive anywhere.
Our Nina room # 15 was small, but still comfortable for us (2 adults and a child) and with our balcony overlooking the schoolhouse garden, offered a degree of privacy, while still allowing us to "people watch" the adjacent pedestrian walkway. Most of the rooms have doors facing the picturesque courtyard featured on the web page, where we spent leisurely mornings over coffee and croissants (the inn provides a nice continental breakfast) Inn proprietors Irving, Barbara and Paul were great. We hope to return in the not-too-distant future!

This was a wonderful place to stay. The people were friendly and helpful and the room was perfect. Our room overlooked St. George Street and the trolly stop. Everything was within walking distance. We had planned to stay in a B&B but booked a bit late and ended up staying here with NO regrets !!!
Wonderful B & B

I can not begin to tell you how wonderful this place was - from the time we jumped up the large front step - (hehe) not really the front entrance. Everyone was wonderful - We were in the building with the elevator - traveling with two seniors. They were in Room #36 beautiful views (although the AC dripped in the night) not worries though. The other room was #31 - large, nice balcony. Wireless internet was great. Continental Breakfast was wonderful, great breads, fresh bagels (not frozen). I can not say enough about this property. Park your car and walk everywhere - WE will be back.
