Me and tree of my best friends stayed at La Fiesta for about 2 weeks.....these where our greatest vacations ever! close to shoppingmals and st.augustines old city but quiet like somewhere out in the green. clean and friendly staff. will book again soon.
Read about this place on the web (including my favorite site, TripAdvisor) and booked it for 2 nights. Our stay was a birthday celebration for my Mom from my brother and I. I stayed in a room (oceanview), that was roomy enough and clean. The room could use a little refurbishing especially in the bathroom. The landscaping is lush and beautiful as are the grounds. A short walk away over the sand dunes via the private walkway and we were on the beach.
The staff was helpful and very professional. We enjoyed a breakfast of fresh fruit or juice, assorted muffins or other baked goods and coffee delivered to the rooms every morning.
We were visited by the "resident" ducks as they waddled on to our patio to get some breakfst too.
About two miles from the hotel is a shopping center with among other stores, a Starbucks, a Cold Marble Ice Creamery (or whatever they're called) and a Publix. Very convenient! You can puchase a pass for two days and get the "beach bus" right from the hotel to the historic area of St Augustine and then take the trolley - unlimited times.
We are so impressed with La Fiesta my brohter will be returning to there with his girlfriend in March and I'm taking/dragging (he's not crazy about FL) my husband there next October.
I travel a lot on both business and vaction trips and this was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable stays I've experienced.
My husband and I had a reservation elsewhere (disappointing reservation through hotels.com that we couldn't cancel. Learned that lesson!) and stopped in here to check rates and availability. The staff was SUPER friendly and we ended up staying at a B&B that is on the property. It was FANTASTIC! And very reasonable. Hot tub, bikes to use, gourmet breakfast. We would definitely stay here again!!
