I'll be staying at Don Cesar, could you, please, let me know about what's in the area around the Hotel. With that I mean at a walking distance only (say a radius of maximun 10 bloks), since I know St. Pete myself already. Are there any recommended restaurant, dinners, etc. in the area? Are there shops, etc. around this area?
Thanks in advance!

It may be wise to bring a swimsuit if you decide to visit the beaches of Tampa Bay. Due to distractions, I did not pack until 1 hour before I was supposed to be at the airport on way to Florida, hence I forgot my swimsuit. So no, boys and girls, I did not get tan. I could have gone to the store and bought a new one, but I wasn't feeling too inclined to do so. Thus I walked around the beach with jeans and shoes on, and that is probably one of the things I hate the most. Sand ends up getting stuck in every crevasse of my shoes. Next time, I'll invest in some beach gear.
By land, O'Neill's is located at the southern tip of St. Petersburg, where I-275 crosses the Tampa Bay over the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. By water, O'Neill's has a prime location at the mouth of the Bay, providing easy access to the Tampa Bay itself, the Intracoastal Waterway, and the Gulf of Mexico between Fort DeSoto and Egmont Key.
The small marina offers a bait and tackle store, fuel, a boat ramp, dry and wet boat storage, and powered lifts. They also have a sales and consignment location in Largo, about 10 or 15 miles north of their St. Pete location.
O'Neill's is also home to a few of the area's charter fishing boats such as Hook 'em Harry.
There is a small park by the Marina in Safety Harbor, a town in Northeastern Pinellas County bordering Old Tampa Bay.
The park holds a fountain with birds and wildlife figures underneath spigots of streaming water.
Just beyond the fountain is the marina, where many boats are housed. There is a trail here along Old Tampa Bay that many enjoy running along to enjoy the water scenery.
Hooters is the plase for you, my man. Hooters, the bar that took America's fascionation with breast tissue and made a franchise out of it.
Hooter's chicken wings. You can ordered medium, mild or hot, and come served with you choice of a big eyeful of melons, jugs, headlights, knockers, water wings or bazzoomas.
