    SANIBEL INN - A three star hotel right on the gulf and on the shelling beaches. Screened balconies, heated outdoor pool, restaurant, 2 tennis courts, butterfly garden. Fee for bicycles, kayaks, beach cabanas, environmental lectures.
    Most of the motels on Sanibel are fairly old and pretty expensive.

    The most unique feature is the flowering plants and butterfly garden.

    The Sanibel Inn is a great hotel for the price and Amenities. Rooms have screen in porches, kitchenettes, air conditioning and cable TV. The pool restaurant and bar makes great burgers and cocktails and Ellington's is a great place for dinner and live Jazz at night. It is one of only a handful of hotels on the island that have a restaurant or bar. They also have outdoor grills available to cook your own food. The hotel will set up an umbrella and chair for you on the beach, but get there early as they run out by mid-morning. You can also rent a bicycle for the day. This is a great way to get around town.
