My son and I stayed at this hotel because of its proximity to Steinbrenner Field. It was a huge mistake. There was dried blood on the door that I assume connected to another room(I wasn't about to touch it to open it), on the handle and the lock. The rug had white stuff on it.The curtains were see through and we were on the first floor. The sheets had burn holes in them. The bathroom was filty.I was afraid to use the shower. It also did not feel like a safe place to stay. As it was late at night and the hotel next door was sold out we really didn't have any choice but to stay there.I sent an email to the hotel to complain and they replied that they would refund $30.00 to my credit card.Well they proceeded to charge $30.00 to it! When I called the corporate number to complain I was told they really couldn't do anything since the hotels are independently operated. So they are a franchise of you and you don't care what they do?? Just there whole "I don't care" attitude of indifference will make me never use that hotel brand again! When I stay at hotels that I have never been to I rely alot on sites like this and reviews from people to help me make a choice. So I hope you will pass by this hotel and choose the Holiday Inn Express next door.It is cleaner, nicer and feels alot more safe
For lodging, I prefer the Holiday Inn Express in Downtown Tampa. Other than that, if you're willing to spend a pretty penny stay across the bay at the Don Ceasar. It's an old building but it's a VERY cool place to stay!
Unique Quality: The Don Ceasar is old and it has alot of shops ect....
Directions: The Holiday Inn Express is off I275 at the Ashley Street exit...You can't miss it. The Don Ceasar is on Pass-a-grille Beach.
