Taco bus - doesn't look pretty but its good eats!
I'm looking for options for a rehersal dinner for 25 people in November. We are all from out of town, so something different from the standard chains would be fun. We would like to keep a moderate budget so nothing incredibly fancy.

I like Donna's suggestion of La Columbia - - it might be just what you are looking for. Also, in Ybor, there is a catering service within Centro Asturiano. If you rent the room from them for the dinner, the food is moderately priced. Also, Alessi Bakery does excellent catering if you are looking to host it at someone's home.
Florida, from Tampa to Daytona on Interstate 4, is less than 150 miles wide. About halfway across the state on I-4 is Orlando, just an hour from either the Gulf or Atlantic coast.

Hockey in Florida seems like a weird thing but the Tampa Bay Lightening won the 2004 Stanley Cup.
Stop by the box office on game days and maybe you can get some tickets to see them play.
The Ice Palace is also used for other events such as concerts, ice shows, and the Tampa Bay Storm.
Just found it is now known as the St. Petersburg Times Forum. It just shows its been awhile since i have been home.
If you haven't been up in a hot Air Balloon it is a must.

Definitely a fun place to go while in Tampa. The bartendars are great and the crowd is wild. If you want to see girls dancing on the bar, whether it be the cusomters (sorry ladies only) or the bartendars, then I think this is the place for you. Casual, anything really
