Dirty Bed and Noisy Room
Well this tops the list as our worst hotel stay ever. We checked in and found the toilet would not flush. Maintenance came and "opened the chute" downstairs and that seemed to help. I did not want to know why the chute was closed. We turned down the bed and found the previous occupants had left us goodies in the form of dirt, cookie crumbs, hair (lots and lots) and body fluids on every sheet, blanket and pillow. Housekeeping came and was very good to take care of that immediately. Then we learned that internet access costs 9.99 per 24 hours. So I paid the 9.99 and my husband logged on to begin to work. I tried to log on as well but they wanted another 9.99/24 hours for my computer. Since my files are on my computer, I could not use his computer. I went to Chick Fil-A so I could sit in my car in my pajamas to work. Got some funny looks at that. As to the bed- or the RACK OF DEATH- it was just terrible. I peeked at the mattress and I remember that my grandparents had one when I was a small child that looked like this one. We crawled out of it every morning sore and unable to stand up straight. On the whole, not a pleasant stay. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. There is a very nice LaQuinta down the road that does not sit on the I75 entrance ramp that does have very comfortable beds and great service. Try there instead as they also have free Wi-Fi in every room. I know, we stayed there once our reservation ran out at Crowne Plaza and it was so much better.
Unique Quality: Heard the pool was nice but did not see it. They have a piano bar downstairs. I guess that is for guests to go and get lit up before they try to sleep on the beds here. Room service was very pricey but smelled good as it went up and down the halls. Have heard that the restaurant is good as well but we did not try it.
