My husband and I have plans to go to Busch Gardens for a day during the first week of April (specifically, 4/4 thru 4/9). What's the best day of the week to avoid the most crowds?
Thanks!
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are traditionally the least busy days for Busch Gardens but whatever day you go the quietest time is always the first couple of hours after opening so get there early and hope for the best. Good luck.
The best days to go to busch gardens are going to be on weekdays. Most people work during the week and if school is in session most of the local kids wont be in the park. If it is the peak time of visit i would suggest a Monday. Most tourist plan to head back on sundays or arrive mondays which means most likely they wont plan to go on their first day. You can find some great information and some other fun things to do plus money savings tips at http://tampabayonline.US
Hope that helps!

My best memory of Tampa will be when I leave it. I have never spent a more useless 2 years of my life in one place, ever. From the hillbillies eating fried chicken and barbecue to the facist cops putting up cameras in Ybor City, I can't wait for the next climactic change to raise sea level and inundate the whole goddam state. It would be no loss to humanity

Bayshore Blvd. is a long walking/jogging/biking/skating path in the downtown area. The bay is on one side, and a really nice neighborhood is across the street on the other side. However, you could wander for hours admiring the homes in this neighborhood. I highly recommend walking/jogging, or riding through the back streets. Each home is different and unique.
Outside of Tampa but is a great way to see the way the south was befor ehte civil war.
Be sure to tour the beautiful mansion and grounds as well as the Patten House (a pioneer Florida farmhouse) and the visitor center (featuring exhibits on Florida's antebellum and pioneer periods).
I also recommend bring a picnic and taking time to enjoy the beautifully landscaped grounds.
The newest flock of young whooping cranes – The Class of 2007 - is right now winging its way to Florida behind four ultralights on their first migration, after a summer spent training for their journey.
Their arrival date is totally weather-dependent, but if witnessing these magnificent birds flying behind their “surrogate parents” is something that interests you, here’s how to keep updated:
Go to the Operation Migration website www.operationmigration.org and click on “In the Field” in the left column, which gives daily updates of their progress and will eventually have information on their date and location of arrival (usually at Dunnellon Airport, where they fly over on their way to winter at the Chassahowitzka Wildlife Refuge).
