Getting to Tampa by ZenGator
Tampa International Airport has won many awards and much praise for its innovative design. It just opened a fancy new airside and more expansions are in the works, so the best just keeps getting better. Speaking of expansions, both interstate highways into Tampa (I-4 and I-275) plus the Crosstown (aka Selmon) Expressway and the Veterans Expressway / Memorial Highway interchange are all currently being widened and rennovated, with several more years of uneven pavement and blinking barricades yet to go. Watch the orange cones!
For you rich slobs (or cruise takers), arrive by boat if you can. The trip under the Sunshine Skyway Bridge and up the bay is gorgeous.
