The Everglades is world renouned 1,506,539 acres (third largest park in the National Park System) "river of grass" that is a subtropical wetland that is home to hosts of rare birds, mammals and reptiles.

Be sure to stop at the parks boardwalk and the Indian reservation and take an airboat ride.
The National park is approximately 4 hours drive. Take I75 South and then East on either Tamianmi Trail (US 41 ? more scenic) or Alligator Alley
