"tavares"

tavares is the county seat of lake county florida. taveres was founded by alexander st. clair abrams in 1880. st. clair abrams built a railroad from tavares to orlando. tavares was once home to the famous nascar driver edward "fireball" roberts. of interest to the tourist is the taveres to mt. dora tourist train and a number of lakes that offer execellent bass fishing. tavares is a nice small town to visit in central florida.
