historic hotel
the driftwood inn was built in 1935 by waldo sexton. the wood work of the inn is made entirely out of driftwood planks and timbers. the hotel is ocean front and has a swimming pool and bar. this interesting hotel is listed on the national register of historic places. as with all hotels in vero beach the prices are much higher in the winter tourist season. check their website for rate information.
