Go to the Mcarther State Park...
by CK932
Go to the Mcarther State Park just north of Singer Island. The beach is nice and they have many trails. You can also find gaps in the mangroves to put out a canoe. Drive through Palm Beach and look at the houses because one day it will make a great reef...haha
The Science Museum
by CK932 about The Science Museum
It's totally empty on Friday nights and they are opened until 10:00 p.m. You can catch a laser light show or if you are lucky the astronomy club is hanging out up on the telescope platform and you can check out what they are looking at. If it's cloudy, they are not opened so you'll just have to deal with your emotions and go see the COOL FISH!!

This place is great... located in a new plaza on Lantana Rd. just west of Military Trail... With two large flat screen TVs, an internet station, a small merry-go-round for the little ones and cozy booths...
Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I had the Millie's choice crepe.... sliced bananas, strawberries dolce de leche sauce and whipped cream, decadent and fabulous....
Also tried the strawberry chicken crepe... something like a monte cristo sandwich and the Philly cheese crepe...
Fantastic chai served here....

Home of the Norton Art Museum
by yooperprof
For me, the big attraction in West Palm Beach is the Norton Museum of Art. It's outstanding, with an especially strong concentration in the painting and scultpure of Europe and America from 1870 to 1945. Monet, Degas, Picasso and Matisse are all well-represented here, and there are also masterpieces by figures such as Renoir, Cassatt, Hopper and Brancusi. The Nortons were originally Chicago-based millionaires who moved down to West Palm in the 1920s, and whose interest in the art of their time formed the core of this worthy collection. This is easily one of the outstanding art museums in the whole of the American Southeast.
New condos for the well-heeled. Some people are doing very well in America these days! And they are buying and building expensive condos on this part of the Florida coast.
