The Breakers: Beautiful place to stay

This is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever seen. The grounds and the building, the rooms, and the pools are all absolutely beautiful! The staff is very, very polite and helpful. However, the guests are different, to say the least. I observed that no one ever smiled. However, that's certainly not the fault of the hotel staff. The rooms felt like a guest room in a luxurious home, and the staff treated me as if that was exactly where I was.

The pools were wonderful!

Unique Quality: The countertop aquarium in the bar is not to be missed! It is without a doubt the most unique feature I have ever seen in any hotel.

Palm Beach Polo Club: Swanky... and gay

Traveled with a friend for the winter horse show. While beautiful and MUCH to look at, it is quite snooty.

If you want to stay in Palm...

If you want to stay in Palm Beach, stay at the Palm Beach Hotel. This 1920's humongous pink palace is a hotel condo, in a great location and every room has a small kitchenette, and it's vintage, new, old...all wrapped into one. You won't find any room service here but you are next to the Publix and two blocks from the beach. They have a beautiful courtyard with a pool and if you are lucky you'll run into some local color (the year round condo residents). They are good for chatter, a laugh or they'll try and convince you that they are the Duke of Earl, but HEY the rooms are cheap in summer and the building is humongous.
Summer - anywhere from 70 to 90 bucks depending on the room size. In season, forget it, they'll hoop you for more. Maybe double the summer rate, not sure.

Unique Quality: It's big, pink (he..he..) old, cool, creepy, lush, retro, 80's, 20's, spooky,.....gosh it's a 'gaspacho' of a joint.
