Cypress Gardens was opened in the 1930s, long before Walt Disney cast any covetous designs on the sunshine state. It's been entertaining visitors with a somewhat cheezy mix of attractions for more than 60 years now. My dad came here for the first in the winter of 1938. He says that the trees have grown a lot since then!

My favorite part was the Topiary Gardens. What amazing things you can do with a shrubbery!
The water ski-ing show is another highlight of Cypress Gardens. Scoff if you like, but I still think it's pretty amazing!
