Sacred Ground on Campus
by yooperprof
Football is religion here, and one of the most important spaces on the University of Georgia campus is the hallowed ground where the Bulldogs first played in the late 19th century. There's no field here any longer, but it's been well preserved and memorialized, and serves as a dignified quiet space in the middle of an otherwise bustling campus.

This location is my favorite. The entire place is non-smoking:-))))))))))))))!!!!.
I love the way they decorated this coffee shop. It looks like an early 20th century reading room. Very cozy. Another coffee shop in Athens (they have several locations).

A friend once said, "Georgia always looks best in your rear-view mirror". This could not be further from the truth. As a home base, it's comfortable, good weather, relatively near the coast, decent mountains. It's a place to base your roots. Nevertheless, just as any other home, you gotta get out every now and then.
