Some Good Some Bad
I stayed here for several days in the summer of 2010 and summer of 2011. The hotel's "green" theme is both spartan and refreshing at the same time. (Trash cans in the room are galvanized buckets! cute!!) Room furnishings are up beat and modern, with a flea-market decor theme in some ways. Wood floors, with throw rugs instead of the usual hotel carpet is a nice change. Linens and beds are comfortable. Bath is spacious, but with only shower, no tub. Aveda bath products are always nice!
The air conditioning is excellent (which is always important in GA in the summer!).
In the summer of 2010 I had no complaints. However, by the summer of 2011 it seems that they have lost their excellent housekeeping staff. This time we found candy in the corners of the room and dust and food chips under everything. The sheets on the pull out sofa had not been changed on our arrival. The shower had not been cleaned either.
They had no late night housekeeper available and had to send security to the room to remove the old sheets from the sofa bed. The floor had not been mopped in ages and I had to request that they mop it the first day of the stay. (Walking around barefoot for a few hours left my feet solid black, before it was mopped!) Upon complaint they apologized and gave us complimentary parking and breakfast. That was appreciated, but I would have preferred to have a clean room to begin with and not the hassle of dealing with the "next" unpleasant surprise.
Room service is fast and friendly and food is adequate.
Great bar in lobby. It and the restaurant have a lively crowd on the weekends!
Despite the problems with housekeeping, I would still recommend this hotel. It was comfortable and convenient to Downtown Athens. PLUS, they take pets; even LARGE dogs!
Unique Quality: NO pool, but they do take PETS, even large dogs!

Athens cool hotel...
I was pretty excited that they build a Hotel Indigo in Athens... I stayed before in Ottawa and Atlanta and liked their style. The one in Athens is pretty cool and the people is very polite and friendly.
The only negative thing to say for me is that they charge for parking (the other hotels in the area don't do it)
Unique Quality: Very nice bathroom... with a shower instead of a bathtub (I love that). The floor is hard wood and the details in the room are very eclectic.
