Homegrown Ingredients, Great Meals!
by bulldoggirl about Farm 255
Farm 255 opened in Summer 2005 by the Full Moon Cooperative Farm, with a goal of bringing the story of local sustainable farming to the table and connecting people to the source of their food. The atmosphere is really intimate - the kitchen is open to the dining room so you can pretty much see everything. Everything from the decor to the tables themselves seems very natural, and the lighting is very relaxing. I would certainly recommend going here - the food is amazing, and it's awesome to support local farmers!
I Like Athens

"Downtown"
Athens is a great town. Speaking as a visitor of course. There are loads of bars and restaurants for starters. Also there's lots of history here if you can drag yourself out of a bar long enough to find it and a river walk that takes you around where the old mills used to be. I also found an old timber railway bridge for which there were no signs. We just stumbled on it by chance. I thought it was great, they should make more of it.
Oh and of course there's the College, which is bigger than my town. In fact bigger than Athens too.
