Hey Fellow Atlantans! A VT'er on her first solo trip out of England will be visiting on the weekend of March 15th and 16th and wants to get together with some of the local VT'ers on this side of the pond.

Hey Chris, how's the water situation in Atlanta these days. I hear it's in critical supply. Have you had any recent rainfall or is the drought still hanging on?
Drought is still hanging on, but we've gotten a bit more precipitation, so at least it's not getting worse! Believe it or not, thanks to Global Warming it is snowing for the second time this week!
Have you alerted the authorities to Kayleigh's presence? You could get banged up as a co-conspirator!

I was hoping that we could avoid their notice until after she had moved on after unleashing the chaos that she will undoubtedly release. The police just kill the party atmosphere!
Bump! Hopefully we get some more responses here. :-) Would hate for the VT meeting to be a bust when she's visiting. Need to have a gang of locals show up to greet her!
Hello all. I was trying to get some info about what type of venue Kayleigh wanted to meet in and she said she just found out that her work schedule has changed and she's not going to be able to make it to Atlanta. Hopefully she'll be able to make it another time, but for now her trip over here is off.
That's a shame, no one gets to frisk her now.....

We need a VT roadtrip!
Start off having a good 'ol Southern meal at PittyPat's Porch in downtown, then go to the Peachtree Plaza across the street and take the elevator to the top, and relax with a Mint Julep (if you're over 21!) in the Sun Dial lounge. Finish by planning your trips to the Cyclorama, the King Memorial, Underground Atlanta, Buckhead, and Stone Mountain. I miss the Southern hospitality and the 'moonlight through the pines.'
Just my board shorts, and a smile!! Some people at this stage would be thinking that I am somewhat of an alchoholic? Not the case.. I enjoy the company of my friends while having a nice quiet beer... As an Australian, you are brought up with the concept of 'drinking is for enjoyment' not to abused, and not to be wasted... I guess I am lucky that I know when I have had enough.. Pitty some people dont have the same control?

But wait! The Book Nook has moved, they are now in the tocohills area and there's a store in Marrietta.
If you want to go out and have the opportunity to check out a bunch of different places - go to Buckhead! There are over 100 bars in 2-3 block area.
My favorites were Lulu's Bait Shack (order a fish bowl) and Fado's, an Irish Pub. There are all types of different bars and clubs. This is an upscale area and pretty trendy - casual is fine, but dress to impress!
I pass through this airport at least once a month, transferring with either Delta Airlines or AirTran Airlines.
One thing I really get a kick out of is this 'Smoker's Room."
If you smoke, stay in here. You smell. When you come out, please use a breath mint before talking to me.
