Doubletree Hotel Atlanta/North Druid Hills, Atlanta, GA - Reviews and Hotel Information

This is a pretty nice hotel located about 20 min from downtown (by car). It seems to be recently renovated and has very curteous staff. The rooms are large and very clean. Each room has cable TV and free internet in each room (wired). It is located in a residential area of Atlanta, next to I-85 (though I never noticed the highway sounds from my room). There is a large lounge area with a bar and flat screen TVs. There is a place for breakfast, but it costs extra. There is a diner and a cuban restaurant next to the hotel. The only negative about this place is that it is a little far from the city. If you have a car this place is not bad at all. If you don't have a car, the hotel does have a free shuttle service to the nearest MARTA station (Brookhaven), although, if you ask nicely, you might be able to get a ride to other nearby places (restaurants, etc). The shuttles stop running around 10 PM (check with the front desk). A taxi from the MARTA station is about $6-8. The MARTA station is about 20 min from downtown.

There is a pool and gym facilities.
