How close is the AMTRAK station to a MARTA station in Atlanta? Traveling to Atlanta by train and need to get to MARTA.
According to this site: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arts_Center_(MARTA_station) if you hop on a Marta train and get off at the Arts Center station you can catch a Marta bus to the Amtrak station. You might want to find out how often the buses run to the Amtrak station.

Regarding the previous reply... the Arts Center Station is, indeed the closest MARTA station to the AMTRAK station but, it is quite a hike! It is many blocks and, you will not want to walk it with luggage. There are several buses running North from the Arts Center Station. Check www.itsmarta.com for routes. Just find yourself a bus that leaves Arts Center Station and travels NORTH on Peachtree St. The AMTRAK station is immediately on the left just after Peachtee St. crosses the I-85 freeway. There should be tons of stops along there for you to get off. Should be a breeze.... good luck!
This megalithic, 12 acre underground structure in the heart of Atlanta's megalopolis was built in the 1800's and was the actual street level. The area, like a huge mall, has the fell of busting streets, complete with street
signs. There are over 100 restaurants, nightclubs and retail stores here.
This building, built in 1889, was the first bottling plant for the new Dixie Coca-Cola Company. It is located at 125 Edgewood St, slightly East of the Five Points downtown area, practically surrounded by buildings belonging to Georgia State University. It is presently (2008) vacant and the only thing to see is the small plaque on the Facade of the building, but it is an interesting little piece of history.
roswell is an affluent suburb of atlanta located on the northern edge of the atlanta urban sprawl. roswell has a charming downtown historic district with a number of shops and restaurants. for those interested in history and architecture roswell has scores of beautiful antebellum and post civil war homes and buildings. when in the atlanta area roswell is a great place to get away from the congestion of downtown atlanta. to get to roswell from downtown take roswell road (SR 9) north. for more information see my roswell pages.
