I liked staying here for some 39 nights at the end of 2007, I know it sounds like their marketing slogan, but my room was a home far away from home.
This hotel has a great location! You can walk to anywhere in downtown Atlanta, you can get on foot to CNN, the Aquarium, the Georgia Congress Center, the Philips Arena or even the Georgia Dome, not to mention the downtown restaurants on or just off Peachtree street. You can also get here straight from the Airport with the MARTA for only USD 2.25 if you get off at Peachtree Center. The rooms are equipped with a small kitchen and are ideal for a long term stay, but probably also work fine for only a few nights. You can also use Gold's Gym with your roomcard, which is a huge gym about a 100 meters walk from the Hotel - if you would find the gym in the hotel too small.
The Reception Staff is exceptionally friendly and nice, don't hesitate to ask for their assistance!!
Don't forget to collect Marriott Rewards Points, where you can even choose to collect miles, like I do with my British Airways Executive Club card.
