Doors open to inside hallways so the room stays nice and quiet. The room itself looks new and clean, while the A/C unit keeps the temps comfortably cool. The hotel staff was great and went out of their way to accomodate us on our move back from Germany. They have a nice pool that is protected from lookey-loos so I felt comfortable there. Their breakfast room has coffe (decaf too) juice, bread/bagels, cereal, oatmeal, biscuits&gravy, and a waffle machine that sometimes works, but mostly sticks. Now on to the bad stuff... they advertise a hot-tub, but it's nearly drained with a dead frog floating on the water. The elevators are not air conditioned and can make you feel _really_ clostrophobic in the heat of summer. If you have a baby and plan on using a baby monitor, you won't get coverage from the 3rd floor down to the lounge. This made for some early family bedtimes.
Unique Quality: If you speak to the manager and negotiate a weekly rate, he'll give you some good $30 coupons for nearby restaurants. We even had some mail delivered there & were notified as soon as it arrived. If you go straight across the intersection at 520, then take a right at the next light, the next major intersection, and off to the right has lots of typical American shopping joints. We went to Souper Salads frequently & loaded up the to-go box to feed two adults and a toddler on $6 for dinner.
Directions: Take the 520 west all the way until the highway ends and take a left at the first light (by the Waffle House). Then take an immediate left and follow the road around. The Comfort Inn is tucked back on the right.
