Not only is First Presbyterian very authentic and carefully preserved inside, the grounds are also a delight to visit. The day I took these pictures it was a hot, steamy day in August. It was cool feeling and very pleasant walking around the grounds and enjoying the scene of this historic church.
Ahhh!!! Augusta!!!! If God plays golf, he most certainly plays at Augusta. This is _the_ dream golf course set among the most beautiful greens and trees. As far as the city itself, it is quite nice and clean. The people are wonderful; very kind and proud of their city and it's history. I met quite a few refugees from academic and professional urban life from NYC and, of course, Atlanta. As a result, there is a level of sophistication and refinement which is quite startling for such a small community. Think of the television show "Designing Women" and you will get the idea.
