Broad Street is really the place to be when visiting Augusta. Most of the bars and restaurants downtown are located on Broad between 7/8th Street and 12th Street. You will find that Thursdays thru Saturdays from about 8:30pm/9:00pm places start livening up. Check out Mellow Mushroom, 1102, The Metro, Blue Sky Kitchen, The Soul Bar, Stillwater and Ballroom Billiards for places to eat and drink. The Soul Bar is probably the most popular on Broad & 10th, especially Fridays and Saturdays around midnight. The Modjeska is a dance club which is also very popular - there is a dress code so don't turn up in your scruffs. There are some others bars etc around town but Broad Street generally is easy to find (the main street through the middle of downtown) and you can walk to all the bars. Enjoy!
