Jekyll Island Club Hotel: Jekyll Island Club Hotel

Surprisingly affordable, compared to other old-fashioned resorts I've stayed in. $100 - $300/room/night depending. . .

Unique Quality: Originally built in the 1880's as a club for the Vanderbilts, the Rockefellers and their wealthy friends, this place has it all. You can play golf, tennis, swim in the pool or at the beach or rent a bicycle for tooling around the environmentally protected island. The staff is pleasant and helpful and the food in the Grand Dining Room is very good.
