As Cartersville has grown, it has incorporated some communities and redistributed population in other districts.

Some of the Cartersville neighborhoods are:
CASSVILLE
DOWNTOWN from US41 on the east to Fite and Wofford Streets on the west
EAST CARTERSVILLE which is US41 to I-75
EMERSON
JUNTA in northeast Cartersville around route 293 (Tennessee Street)
KINGSTON
NORTH CARTERSVILLE up along US41 and route 20, south of Oakland Heights
SOUTH CARTERSVILLE which goes from West Avenue south to Old Mill Road
WEST CARTERSVILLE which includes the communities of Atco, Euharlee, Kingston and Sugar Valley
WHITE

Each area has some distinct cultural differences as well as economic stratification.
