The Columbus Historic District is an area of proprties that range from Federal cottages to Victoian homes. The Historic Columbus Foundation offers a hritage Corner walking tour that includes five historic house museums ranging from the 1820s to the 1870s.Tours begin at the Foundation;s headquarters at 700 Broadway, a Victorian townhouse, and include the Seventh Street townhouse and apothecary of Dr.John S.Pemberton, originator of the formula for Coca Cola, the Walker-Peters-Langdon House, the oldest house in the original city, a restored log cabin, and an 1840 farm house which serves as a museum gift shop. Tours at 11 am. and 2pm. Monday-Friday
and 2pm Saturday and Sunday. Located across from the Historic Columbus Foundation headquarters is a Heritage Park, an outdoor park celebrating Columbus industrial history from 1850 to 1910.
