give this one a pass
on a recent trip to dahlonega on business i was looking for an inexpensive motel and found the super 8. the only positive comment i can make about the super 8 is the indian couple that manage the motel tried hard to be helpful and solve the problems with my stay. in the first room i checked into the door was warped and i could not use the dead bolt lock. i know that i am picky but i expect to be able to lock my room at night. the manager moved me to another room which had a functioning lock but the bathroom had a hole in the ceiling from previous water damage and the lightbulbs in two of the four lamps in the room were burnt out. since i was staying in dahlonega for two days i checked out and moved to the smith house inn downtown. there was a world of difference between these two properties.
