Helen Georgia Complete Review
by mrbrent
There is everything to do in Helen Georgia. Fishing for fresh rainbow trout right from the back area of your hotel, hunting, shops, water slides, cool mountain river tubing, you name it, this place has it all.
Below is a link to one of the best web sites I have ever seen on Helen Georgia. This site has tons of pictures, slideshows, and video with extensive detailed information on restaurants, things to do, places to stay, and even copies of the menus on all the restaurants that are reviewed. If you are considering visiting Helen Georgia anytime in the future, this website is a excellent tool to use for planning your trip, or if you just want to learn about this little Alpine Village replica getaway.
I used this site to plan my entire familys geatway, and knowing food prices, what each Restaurants food items were, and by getting a ton of pictures of each hotel really hepled make our trip perfect.

Helen Ga Spending the entire day wading down the river trout fishing with my son, then taking our catch back to our hotel, and grilling them with a bunch of fresh vegetables we bought at the Bettys Country Store in Helen Ga. right off the back deck of our hotel overlooking the river. This was just a awesome experience for the both of us.
Unicoi State Park

We were able to go to Unicoi State Park once the storm was over and had a wonderful buffet at the Lodge. It was really nice because they had a huge fireplace going and the food was great. We were able to watch the ice and snow falling from the trees as the sun began to warm things up.
Unicoi State Park

We have only been to Helen Georgia once but plan to return when we have the opportunity. The time we were there it had snowed a few days before we got there and was sleeting while we were there. It was really nice and cozy for my husband and I. It would not be something teenagers would like, but little children would love it. There is a lot of things to do in Helen. We enjoyed going to Unicoi State Park. The view is breathtaking. There was snow in all the trees and was just beginning to fall when we were having brunch at their lodge. We were able sit inside near the warm fireplace and watch the snow falling off the trees as the sun began to beam down on them. My fondest memory of Helen Georgia is the mountain air and great scenery. There is a really neat old time grocery store with old time gifts. All the stores and lodging in downtown are designed to give you the feel of being in a small German Town.
Don't forget your best friends

Don't forget to bring your pets with you if you enjoy traveling with them. Timber Loft is pet friendly. You may need a heavy coat if you are there in the Winter. Most people don't think of Georgia as a cold place, but they can have some very cold nights.

If VT fixes the problem for upload of pics, I will add some.
Located right in the middle of little Sautee community. It is next to the Old Sautee Store to shop for local goods and some foreign. The menu offers sandwiches and specialty plates. SAndwiches are normal type, and the plates are more Southern food tastes BAr B Que may be the more popular item to select. Though they have country fried steak, one of my favorites too. Sandwiches range $5-7, and the plates $7-8.Open only 7-3 WEd-Sunday
