Do yourself a favor - if you are staying 4 nights or more - rent a house. Skip the hotels and search the internet sites of Jekyll Realty or Parker Kauffman for a house to rent. The cost is often less than a hotel and the privacy can't be beat.
Every house I've stayed in had a full kitchen with pots/pans/dishes/etc and cooking in one or two times during a vacation can save $100+
Be sure to bring or rent linens including sheets and towels! (you can rent them from the realtors)
Unique qualities include extra privacy and quiet...many homes have patios or sunrooms and there are a few houses with pools.
