Nice town... more red neck than sophisticated.
It is steeped with Civil War history and of course the home of the fictional Tara. Although the cinema version of Tara doesn't exist, The farm that Tara WAS based on does exist. With a little bit of research you can find it and drive by it. It is blocked with trees though.
There is a museum at the old railroad depot that Gone With The Wind fans might like to visit if you are in the area.
