Don't have a wedding reception here!

First of all, the rooms are vintage 1980 --no where near a 4 star that they advertise. The staff is rude, insensitive and socially unacceptable with their manners. The exude the "I don't care" attitude.
We had my daughter's wedding reception in the Hamilton Restaurant since they gave away the ballroom after we booked it. But, that was OK --Hamilton was nice. When we called 3 days before the event (Oct., 2007) all the plans we had made, all the tastings we had been to, seating plans, menu, bar, etc etc, etc were for naught --they knew nothing except that we had reserved the room. We had to do it all over again. Still, the day of the wedding, nothing was right --no brides table, no wedding supervisor, no wedding party table, no white-gloved waiters as in contract, no candles on mirrors -portable bar instead of the place we had specified. And to top it all off, thier staff embarassed us in front of guests by demanding money during the reception after credit card authorization had already been given. When they refused to believe that we had already authorized payment , they threatened to shut down the reception. No one would listen to our complaints about the breach of contract. There was no one in charge there. Our DJ literally had to salvage the reception. Food was decent but they stole the remaining layers of my daughter's wedding cake, and lied about it saying that it was all served. We only had 50 people and a cake that fed 90 without the top layer. Their Gen Mgr's attitude was an "I don't care" --never apologized or listened or offered any compensation for the breach of contract and ruination of the reception. As their ad says "A Day To Remember" --it certainly was a nightmare. Their only explanation was that they were afraid that we were going to "DINE, DANCE, and Depart." They already had credit card and authorization, so what was their problem except cretinism and stupidity and rudeness.
Don't go there until they change management --Management does not care.

Unique Quality: The lobby looks nice --ladies' bathrooms are not located well but the Men's are easily found.
Front desk staff is rude and does not greet you.
Rooms need to be renovated.
View of golf course is nice.
Unique quality is an incompetent General Manager.
