MM 613. 5 Kilkenny Creek Anchorage

There are so few marinas between Thunderbolt and Jekyll Island that a slow sailboat like we are has to anchor.

There is an anchorage on Kilkenny Creek up past the marina but you can also anchor closer to the ICW. Kilkenny Creek at marker #107 is to the right. Favour the right side when entering and anchor in 15 feet . The bottom is mud and good holding.

We customarily anchor in the Wahoo River, and once we anchored north of little St. Simon Island.
