Good eats!
by tpangelinan
A great place to eat just off the island and up route 17 a mile or so, called Mudcat Charlie's. The food was great, so was the service and the view on the water and sunset was perfect. Prices were very affordable, about $7.00 to $20.00 per plate, from bergers to great seafood. Give it a try, you won't be sorry.
One of Georgia's Golden Isles
by MatthewMetcalfe
St. Simons is one of the border islands off the coast of Georgia. Located about 60 miles south of Savannah Georgia, it's one of the more populated islands and is pretty well developed.
When visiting St. Simons, you'll see the low country of Georgia with all of it's marshes. There is beach as well on St. Simons for visitors to enjoy. A small village right on the shore is where all the action takes place. Restaurants, shops, hotels and the lighthouse are located here.
The Islands are typically more laid back than other parts of Georgia and most have maintained their southern charm.
