More about McMillan Inn

A fabulous inn

by A TripAdvisor Member

Beautiful Victorian, delicious gourmet breakfast, and attentive hosts -- what more could you ask for? How about a dipping pool in a private courtyard and amenities galore, like in-room DVD player, gas fireplace, CD player, in-room refrigerator, complimentary waters/sodas, and yummy treats in the parlor. It's a great location for experiencing all that Savannah has to offer. And it's a wonderful place to return to at the end of the day.

Great B&B!

Joe & CIndy were excellent innkeepers! They were very welcoming and accomadating. We stayed in the Gaston room which was beautiful!! The decorations, art work, and the details of this room were incredible! The breakfast in the morning was delicious! We especially loved the homeade muffins!! I would recommend this inn to anyone who enjoys a great B&B! We will definitly return next time we are in Savannah. I want to aslo note the website gives a very accurate description of the inn and the rooms (at least ours)! This was very helpful!

Sumptuous Inn !

by A TripAdvisor Member

Our stay at the four bedroom McMillian Inn was a slice of heaven on earth. Surrounded by the sumptuous décor, we felt the stress of our busy lives melt away into a romantic Victorian dream world. Within the perfectly restored home we found our Innkeepers, Joe and Cindy, had spared no effort to provide their guests with a truly unique and wonderful experience. Making sure their guests wanted for nothing, their loving touch was evident everywhere. The lavish furnishings throughout the Inn invite you to sit a spell and gaze upon the many dreamy paintings, sculpture, and flowers adoring each room, accompanied by superb lighting and mood music to make each guest feel totally relaxed and free to enjoy the home.

The hosts attention to detail in our room includes fabulous lace trimmed linens on a high 4 poster bed with canopy, extra pillows and quilts, fluffy towels, suburb soaps, shampoos and robes, an oversize claw foot soaking tub, a bidet, an in-room safe and refrigerator stocked with free beverages and snacks, coffee maker with all the accoutrements, tv, dvd and cd player, phone, a working gas fireplace, votive candles for lighting, a gentleman's writing desk filled with a selection of books, a lady's Victorian dressing table and a 5 window reading alcove with over-stuffed matching chairs with footstools completed our room.

Truly elegant dining delight awaited us upon rising each morning. Other writers here have already expressed their pleasure with Cindy's gourmet breakfasts which are served on fine china and crystal. We were fortunate to be able to experience a feast each morning. Our favorites were the lemon poppy seed muffins, fresh fruit with a light cream sauce, and Cindy's almond crusted French Toast,

After walking the lovely parks and squares, we spent hours in the Inn's tranquil garden soaking in the pool and re-energizing ourselves for all Savannah has to offer at night. Joe and Cindy provided us with helpful suggestions on how to spend our limited time in town and steered us to outstanding restaurants and museums.

A splendid time was had by every guest we spoke with. Several couples were celebrating their anniversaries. Since every day is an anniversary, for us, we chose to spend day 2778 through day 2780 at this Magnificent Inn. Darrel & Alevia

PS...I am a secret shopper by profession, with a very critial eye. What a wonderful delight finding this Inn was!

Wonderful Inn

Truely enjoyable. The Inn is magnificant and the hosts are awesome. My wife and I are making this Inn a yearly vacation from our boring lives in Atlanta. Joe and Cindy were great about getting us into restaurants and giving us tips about local spots.

Awesome!

Our stay at McMillan Inn was an awesome experience. We loved the beautiful room and claw foot tub! The owners of the b&b were wonderful hosts and cooks. The breakfast was great! I couldn't get enough. The house was beautiful! You have to see it.

Loved staying at The McMillan Inn!

This place is fabulous! Beautiful antiques, period setting and absolutely spotless! The innkeepers (Joe and Cindy) do a lovely job and make you feel pampered. They go out of their way to offer suggestions on the best places to dine, etc. The homemade gourmet breakfasts were the best... no Entenmann's (sp?) here! We definitely would make a return trip to Savannah and The McMillan Inn!

So this is a B&B?!

by A TripAdvisor Member

I don't have any other B&B experience to compare this to, but there's no way I can be wrong about this one ... Cindy and Joe were the best hostess/host one could ask for. They possess the best divison between innkeepers and privacy one could ask for. You need a tour recommendation? They gave you the best. You need a special restaurant, they knew it. You need time alone (wonderful dipping pool complete with relaxing music at all times), you got it. What more could you ask for.

Thanks to you both - we'll be back!

Savannah is such a beautiful city and it was made even more so by our two night stay at the McMillan Inn. Joe and Cindy made us feel very special but also were extremely friendly and full of helpful advice. Our room was beautiful and breakfast every morning was delightful and delicious. Would recommend this gorgeous Bed and Breakfast to anyone traveling to Savannah that would like an exceptional and memorable experience.
