the bistrowalking tour of downtown Valdosta
Begin at City Hall on Central Ave. and go west, then the Lowndes County Courthouse on Ashley St. and Central Ave., continue west, then the Mckey Building and Varnedoe's on Patterson St. and Central Ave., continue west, then the First Baptist Church on Toombs Street, go north on Toombs then east on Valley St. to the First Method Church and government buildings at Valley St. and Patterson St., then north on Patterson to the Ferrell House and the First Presbyterian Church near Magnolia St. To get back to beginning, go south on Patterson, east on Valley (other side of Courthouse), south on Ashley and east on Central.
Takes about an hour to walk and look and take pictures. If you go into some of the buildings remember they are not tourist attractions but public properties.
