The combination of a scenic park and cooler temperatures in the evenings due to the slightly higher elevation- a rarity this far south- make Vogel State Park a popular place to stay. There are over 100 sites available for those who want to pitch their tents here. Its a popular park, but finding space is rarely a problem unless you're planning to visit during the fall. The park also has cottages available for rent. The campsites and the cottages are a cheaper alternative to staying in nearby Blairsville and a good option for extending your stay in this park.
Cooler mountain air would qualify as a unique quality. This is Georgia, after all.
Cottages sleep from two to ten people. There is a seven night minimum stay during the months of June, July, and August. All cottages are fully furnished with linens, towels, and cooking utensils.
It's like a home away from home!
