Wonderful Accommodations!

by A TripAdvisor Member

We just returned from an 8 night stay at the Kauai Coast Resort. We researched many hotels before deciding on the Kauai Coast Resort and have absolutely no regrets with our decision. We had a 1 bedroom suite on the third floor. It was a 'garden view' room, but we had a nice view of the ocean from our lanai. The suite was beautifully decorated and very clean. The grounds were nicely landscaped and well-maintained. We were glad to have stayed on the East shore because of its central location to both the North and South shore sites and restaurants. If we return to Kauai someday, we'll definitely stay here again!

The best ever

The best accomodations we've ever had. The room was 2 bedroom, 2 bath, laundry, full kitchen. The grounds were impeccable, location perfect. Walk to the Coconut Marketplace for shopping and food. Everything was clean to perfection and the service was more than you could ask for. For the trip of a lifetime choose the Kauai Coast Resort at the Beachboy

Nice condo - first visit to Kauai

by A TripAdvisor Member

Our first few nights on Kauai were spent at Kauai Coast Resort. We had an ocean view condo on the first floor. The condos are beautifully decorated and well appointed. The beach in this area was not swimable (at least not for me). There was a paved trail along the coast which but the traffic on the trail intruded on our "ground floor" privacy. We had an enjoyable meal at the restaruant on the property and found great shopping and snacks at the Coconut Marketplace. There is lots to see and do on Kauai all within a short drive from the east coast. We had one negative experience - we drove to the west side of the island (between KeKaha and Mana) to watch the sunset. We parked along the beach. Some pre-teens were nearby on the beach but they left the water and went to their familiy vehicle. When we got back to our car the air had been let out of the front passenger tire and we suspect they were working on the rear one. Fortunately we could drive to a gas station and get air. Just something to watch out for.

Totally Impressive

Spent a week in a 1 bedroom suite. The hotel and grounds was beautiful. Nice pool and hot tub. The Hukeleau restaurant was very nice. I was just really impressed with the room. Full kitchen and separate bedroom. The staff was very friendly and they kept the room very tidy.

We loved it!!!! Eventhough we had one problem.

The grounds were wonderful! The room was a one bedroom. Good for 2 people. Very nice and modern. The staff was nice, but they over booked! We were on our honeymoon, and we paid for an O.V ! And did not get it our first night, they put us in room 1108-witch is ground level-No ocean! But when i called them they said it was an ov? Funny no ocean? So they moved us the next day, but we had to check out at 10:00am and could not check back in until 4:00pm! That was not right! We did pay for our stay, it was there mistake! When we checked back in, we were in room-1308, that room was perfect!!! We were happy the rest of our stay!! And i have to add, the restraunt on the property was the best place on the whole Island! We would go back to this condo! We would hope we just wouldn't have any problems. :)

Look up a place called Kuhio Shores. It is a building of condos on the south of the island, right near Poipu Beach and next to the best snorkeling spot on the island. The website is www.kuhio-shores.com Each unit is privately owned. It is literally a few feet from the water.
