We just stayed here but the name has changed to Haiku Plantation Inn. It was a lovely stay in a historic old home and we just throughouly enjoyed it. The place was peaceful and romantic, as it really is a slice of old Hawaii that you can hardly find anymore. I felt like we stepped back in time but the house has all the modern amenities, just the feeling and the architecture was something we were very blessed to have experienced. I recommend it highly to anyone traveling to Maui. It is close to the beaches, and a short 10 minutes to a waterfall with swimming hole. We experienced so many wonderful things on Maui and will return soon, certainly to stay again at this lovely establishment. The guide books were correct, comfortable, reasonable and the owners are very nice.
Unique Quality: Great rural Hawaii experience, local food, local town, and friendly people everywhere.
Directions: Just down the road a few blocks from the main town of Haiku and about a 10 minute drive to Paia town for great shopping.
