Long walks with my mother on Kihei beach... eating ice cream at the international market place... enjoying the New Year's Eve fireworks in Waikiki...tripping over frogs on Molokai... playing with the koi fish at the Ala Moana Shopping Center...watching the monkeys behind the bar at the old Pearl City Tavern...and crazy Canadians at Waikiki!
Good town to spend money in. Has just about anything you want as far as souvenirs go and ocean related recreation. Snorkeling was one of the main items of interest. Lots of coral formations less than 50 yards from the beach. Almost no surf to contend with and although somewhat crowded (one swimmer/10 meters) lots of help available if you do get into trouble.
